Eric has been with Samsung for more than 17 years. Before coming to SRA, he worked in process consulting and risk management for overseas subsidiaries in SEC Corporate Finance team. Previous to that, he was CFO of Samsung Electronics Nordic AB and Controller for Samsung Electronics Co, Ltd Korea regional HQ. He holds an MBA degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and a Bachelor of International Trade from Dongguk University in Korea.
Angela Fong oversees all aspects of Joyent’s engineering groups, including development, release, and deployment of all market offerings and played a critical role in creating Triton — Joyent’s modern and open next generation cloud. With more than two decades of experience in cloud computing and enterprise application development, she previously worked at Oracle before becoming Director of Engineering at newScale Inc., an innovative cloud start up, which was acquired by Cisco in 2011. During her three-year tenure at Cisco, Angela oversaw major engineering operations and managed releases for all product lines for the company’s Cloud Services and Management group.
Angela has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Hong Kong as well as M.Sc. in Information Systems from the London School of Economics.
Seong-Kook began his career as a Software Development Engineer at Samsung Electronics. He started as an embedded software developer then transitioned to a server-side Cloud Software Developer, where he designed and implemented several key services such as Samsung OpenAPI (for the InternetTV), Samsung Cloud Application Platform (PaaS), and Samsung Voice Recognition Service (a.k.a. SVoice). His specialties are designing the architecture for large-scale services, and ensuring service stability.
Seong-Kook earned his Bachelor’s of Computer Engineering & Computer Science from Hongik University. He describes himself as having a self-taught personality and excellent prototyping skills. He enjoys playing board games with his daughter, and reading books on the beach with his family.
In June of 2016 Joyent was acquired by Samsung.
